Identity is shaped by many factors, and in the struggle to create an identity for ourselves, we may find internal and external pressures threatening our sense of self. Where we are from, and the cultures we have grown up in, influence who we are and who we may grow into. It is up to you to figure out what it means to be yourself in the context of where you came from; finding the balance between who people expect you to be and who you want to be. We created this website to show you stories of other people as they are creating their own identities; their stories are told through music, film, books, and more.

"Real development is not leaving things behind, as on a road, but drawing life from them, as from a root."

Gilbert K. Chesterton
